I don't know anybody with emotional intelligence. I think emotions are very hard to manage. I think about people who help others to solve their problems and I'm sure they have problems as well. So I don't really know what to write about.
Once in a while I listen to Joel Osteen he gives nice speeches about how to be and feel better.
I'm sure some of you know about the secret book or the documentary. It is good motivation.
What they say is that if you think negative, that's what you will get. if you think positive your life will be most of the time positive. I'm working on my thoughs, so now I always think I'm going to be reach. I will help people as I always have wanted. I'm going to past the test and be place in English 001 or 101. It sounds beautiful right????. I know it does, but really I used to think negative so if things didn't work out, then I was ready for it. I was wrong. I change my mind and things have worked the way I want or at least close.
if you want something, that should be a goal not matter how small it is.

Princess Diana

Now that we are talking about community service and charity. I thought about Princess Diana. In Costa Rica they made her look like a wonderful person , different from the rest ( Royalty). Also they said that everything she did was because she like it, and not just because she wanted to show the world how good she was.Obviously that is what most of the people with money, free time do "charity" but in Costa Rica give they gave her credits for her pasion to help other.
That's how I know her plus the scandals.
Charity work
Starting in the mid- to late 1980s, the Princess of Wales became very well known for her support of several charity projects. This stemmed naturally from her role as Princess of Wales—she was expected to engage in hospital visits where she comforted the sick and in so doing, assumed the patronage of various charitable organisations—and form an interest in certain illnesses and health-related matters. Diana was a supporter of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines, a campaign that went on to win the Nobel Peace Prize in 1997.[22]
AIDS awareness
In April 1987, the Princess of Wales was one of the first high-profile celebrities to be photographed touching a person infected with HIV at the 'chain of hope' organisation. Her contribution to changing the public opinion of AIDS sufferers was summarised in December 2001 by Bill Clinton at the 'Diana, Princess of Wales Lecture on AIDS':
“
In 1987, when so many still believed that AIDS could be contracted through casual contact, Princess Diana sat on the sickbed of a man with AIDS and held his hand. She showed the world that people with AIDS deserve no isolation, but compassion and kindness. It helped change the world's opinion, and gave hope to people with AIDS.

Election

I did not support Barack Obama but I’m very happy for him, his family and for all of those that celebrated and cried of happiness in the Election Day.
I think America once again is an example for the world. This Election didn’t feel like and American Election, it felt like a world Election.
McCain’s speech was short but with a clear message with thanks and resignation He wasn’t as thrill as Obama but he felt happy for him and those who support him. Barack Obama’s speech was longer and full of happiness. He talked to American people about his plan but this time as the new President. He also mentioned history. How hard it was for those who faced discrimination long time ago and what great night this victoriously Election should mean to them and their ancestors.
Both candidates thanked the Americans and their running mates for their support. Both of them look forward to work for the country. McCain offered his help to the new President and Barrack Obama said that he will be happy to work with him. In different ways they had the public support that night.
I liked both speeches. They both talked about what a long journey this campaign was, they both congratulated each other for everything they have done. Both speeches had a different message, one with Victory, plans, history and the other one with resignation.
I felt sad for John McCain because since he was young he fought for this country. He ran twice for the presidency. The first time he did not get elected to represent his party and the second one to be president so I feel bad. I guess he should be happy that he did something for his country.
As I mentioned before Obama brought happiness to Americans and people all over the world.
I’m very happy for him and his historically victory. I’m happy to be here in this country to see. I guess I can tell my kids how it was =).

When I want something I work hard to get it.
I want to become a Physical Therapist. I love to work with kids and I would also like to work with old people.
I choose this career because I don't see myself reading books, learning laws, sitting on a desk working with computers, although I like them.I like to hang out with people that are positive, encouraging and happy.
All my family is in Costa Rica. However, there is an American family that is very special for me. I stayed 2 years with them. I took care of a cute little girl who I love with all my heart. Now she has a brother. He wasn't there when I left, I also love him. I visit them almost every weekend. Both of them are learning Spanish.
There are a lot of things that helped me to learn English, my ex-host mother, my boyfriend, TV and me, I worked really hard. When I don't understand something I feel uncomfortable and I ask and ask until I understand it (IT'S ANOYIN!!!) I guess.
I want to learn another language. MMMM??? I'm working in German but I guess I'm lazy. I haven't done much.
So far I don't know what else to say.
Alright have a good one!!!!
