Election

I did not support Barack Obama but I’m very happy for him, his family and for all of those that celebrated and cried of happiness in the Election Day.

I think America once again is an example for the world. This Election didn’t feel like and American Election, it felt like a world Election.

McCain’s speech was short but with a clear message with thanks and resignation He wasn’t as thrill as Obama but he felt happy for him and those who support him. Barack Obama’s speech was longer and full of happiness. He talked to American people about his plan but this time as the new President. He also mentioned history. How hard it was for those who faced discrimination long time ago and what great night this victoriously Election should mean to them and their ancestors.

Both candidates thanked the Americans and their running mates for their support. Both of them look forward to work for the country. McCain offered his help to the new President and Barrack Obama said that he will be happy to work with him. In different ways they had the public support that night.

I liked both speeches. They both talked about what a long journey this campaign was, they both congratulated each other for everything they have done. Both speeches had a different message, one with Victory, plans, history and the other one with resignation.
I felt sad for John McCain because since he was young he fought for this country. He ran twice for the presidency. The first time he did not get elected to represent his party and the second one to be president so I feel bad. I guess he should be happy that he did something for his country.

As I mentioned before Obama brought happiness to Americans and people all over the world.
I’m very happy for him and his historically victory. I’m happy to be here in this country to see. I guess I can tell my kids how it was =).
